Tomato Growers Information Portal is a new Web portal designed for North Carolina tomato growers and extension agents. A virtual tour of the portal on March 10 will show attendees the online resources available including business management tools, the latest production guidelines and links to weather and climate data. N.C. St. Univ. vegetable production specialist Chris Gunter and other university tomato experts will discuss how to use the portal.
The Tomato Growers Information Portal was developed by N.C. MarketReady, a program of N.C. Cooperative Extension located at the N.C. Research Campus in Kannapolis, with financial support from the N.C. Tobacco Trust Fund Commission and the Agricultural Advancement Consortium of The Rural Center.
