Aaron Hobbs named president of RISE

Hobbs promoted from association’s president-elect

Aaron Hobbs is the new president of Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment (RISE), effective Sept. 1.
The Washington, D.C.- based national trade association represents manufacturers, formulators, distributors and others in the specialty pesticide and fertilizer industry. Hobbs served as the association’s president-elect from June 1-Aug. 31, and has been the association’s director of legislative affairs and grassroots outreach since March 2009. He follows the 20-year term of RISE leader Allen James who retired on Aug. 31.
